Dr. Carolina Solis-Herrera has been appointed the Founding Director of the Center for Excellence in Diabetes at UT Health San Antonio, where she will lead efforts to advance clinical care and research for Type 2 Diabetes.

Carolina Solis-Herrera, MD, associate professor of medicine at UT Health San Antonio, who serves as Chief in the Division of Endocrinology and medical director of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinics, has been named the Founding Director of the Center for Excellence in Diabetes.

The goal of the Center is to advance the clinical care of Type 2 Diabetes. This Center is expected to serve as a focal point for all clinicians of any discipline to aggregate around cutting-edge clinical trials in diabetes.
