✨ Attended the Transition Symposium, hosted by the Down Syndrome Coalition of El Paso and The Arc of El Paso.
✨ Presented for Family-Based Safety Services (FBSS) with DFPS, sharing ABA therapy and autism support resources with social workers dedicated to helping families.

Together, we’re working to make sure children and families in El Paso have the support they need to thrive.

This two-day event will provide parents with practical tools to strengthen everyday routines, guidance from the Baylor Family CARE team, and a $40 Amazon gift card. 🙌

🎈 Family Picnic Fun + ABA Therapy in Action 🎈

We wrapped up summer with a special Empower Behavioral Health Family Picnic where fun and learning came together! 🌞💙 Our kiddos not only enjoyed games, snow cones, and time with friends—but also worked on important ABA therapy goals in a natural community setting:

✅ Tolerating schedule changes
✅ Smooth transitions between activities
✅ Sitting with family for mealtime
✅ Practicing patience while waiting in line (snow cones were a HUGE hit!)

Events like this bridge the gap between the clinic and real-life experiences, helping children with autism build skills they can use every single day—at home, school, and in the community.

We’re excited to launch a new series that highlights the incredible people who make Empower Behavioral Health what it is today. From our clinics to our corporate and regional teams, we’ll be featuring team members across our organization who are dedicated to supporting children with autism and their families. 💙

Today we’re highlighting Aileen Mata, our Patient Intake & Authorizations Manager! Aileen began her journey with Empower as an RBT at our Schertz clinic, grew into the role of Patient Care Coordinator, and now leads our intake and authorizations team. Her passion and dedication ensure families have a smooth and positive experience from the very first phone call, helping children access the care they need as quickly as possible.
