Two things I'd have everyone prioritize for long-term health:
strength training + pelvic floor care đŸ’Ș

Strength training (2-3x/week) builds muscle mass, keeps you active as you age, and protects both your pelvic floor and your bones. It's not about aesthetics; It's about staying strong and independent.

Your Pelvic floor controls your bladder, supports your organs, and impacts every daily movement you make. Yet most people don't think about it until something goes wrong.

You don't have to choose one; they work together to keep you feeling strong and capable for the long haul.

Tell me in the comments: Are you strength training? And when's the last time you thought about your pelvic floor?

Let's talk longevity foods that actually support your pelvic floor 🌟

Fiber + protein aren't just buzzwords - they're foundational for digestive health, which directly impacts your pelvic floor function.

Try these swaps:
Protein without meat: chickpeas, eggs, quinoa
Fiber made easy: black beans, chia seeds

Your pelvic floor works hard every single day. Give it the fuel it needs to keep you strong for years to come 💙

Not a cult. Just passionate about vulvas, breaking stigmas, and making pelvic health fun (and a little ridiculous).

This Valentine's Day, love yourself enough to talk about your pelvic floor 💗

Happy V-Day from UpLift! đŸ˜‚â€ïž

When exercise starts feeling complicated, it’s easy to assume your body is the problem.

💩 Maybe it’s leaking when you jump.
đŸ‹ïžâ€â™€ïž Maybe it’s embarrassment that makes you avoid workouts you used to love.
đŸ’Ș Maybe it’s the fear of making things worse instead of stronger.

That’s exactly why we want you to meet Dr. Erin.

Erin is on a mission to change what women are told to accept as normal as we age. Declining strength, fear of movement, and giving up activities you love? Not buying it. ❌

And she practices what she preaches!

This April marks one full year of consistent strength training for Erin, and she’s finally trail running again for the first time since 2012. She’s doing it all while raising two kids and navigating real-life schedules.

What Erin does best is helping women feel confident moving again. She also offers 1:1 Pilates sessions with a physical therapist’s brain behind every movement.

Some clients use these tailored Pilates sessions to support pelvic floor PT, others as accountability between visits, and many describe it as their most grounding hour of the week.

Dr. Erin is at our Central San Antonio location four days a week, with early mornings and evening appointments available because we know life is full.

When we say strength-forward, we don’t mean throwing weights at you on day one and saying good luck.

And we’re definitely not talking about avoiding movement forever or living in fear of leaks, pressure, or pain.

Strength-forward means we look at how your pelvic floor, breathing, core, and movement work together and build strength in a way that supports your life.

It means meeting you where you are, whether you’re postpartum, leaking during workouts, dealing with pelvic pain, or trying to get back to lifting and running without fear.

It means progress that’s intentional, individualized, and functional so you’re not just “getting by,” you’re actually getting stronger.

This is pelvic floor physical therapy in San Antonio designed for real people with real goals
not a generic protocol and a “good luck.”

[Part 2] Walking is one of the simplest, most
effective things you can do for long-term health. It
keeps your joints mobile, supports your heart, and
keeps your pelvic floor functioning well.

Boring? Maybe. But boring works!

Pick one: sleep or walking, and protect it this week.
Which one's getting your attention? Tell me in the

The secret to longevity? It's not sexy.

One major "hack"- SLEEP! 7-9 hours. Every night.

That's when the magic happens: your body repairs, your hormones regulate, and your pelvic floor recovers.

Waking up multiple times to p*e? That's not just aging. It's often a pelvic floor issue, and we can help!

Sunday afternoon's hit different when you're surrounded by women investing in themselves đŸ’Ș

InBalance Studio x UpLift Physical Therapy came together for a free pelvic floor workshop that brought an amazing group ready to ask the real questions and get real answers. Everybody is different, every journey is unique, and that's exactly how we approach care.

Missed the workshop? Your questions still deserve answers. Book a free discovery call (link in bio) and let's create a personalized plan for YOUR body.

If you have a high deductible insurance plan, going to an “insurance-based” clinic can actually cost MORE per visit than seeing a private pay or out-of-network pelvic floor physical therapy clinic like ours.

We see this all the time in San Antonio. Clients come in frustrated after being told a clinic “takes their insurance,” only to get hit with $300–$500 bills per session because they haven’t met their deductible yet.

That’s often double what they would’ve paid with transparent, private pay care.

Why?

Insurance-based clinics have to inflate what they bill because insurance reimburses so little. And when your deductible isn’t met yet
that inflated bill lands squarely on you. đŸ«”

At UpLift, we do things differently. You’ll know exactly what each visit costs, that way you don't have any surprise bills or to “wait and see what insurance decides.”

So if you have a high deductible plan, do yourself a favor:

Ask for a good faith estimate.
Ask what each visit will actually cost you.
Compare before you commit.

They came in for leaks
they left with their life back! đŸ’Ș

These stories aren’t rare. They’re what happens when someone finally gets answers, a plan, and support that makes sense for *their* body.

If any of these “before” stories feel a little too familiar, that’s your sign.

The internet has done 👏 a 👏 number on pelvic floor therapy’s reputation.

People come in expecting exactly what they’ve heard from friends, TikTok, or a provider who didn’t specialize in pelvic health.

a few awkward exercises, kegels while hooked up to a machine, a sheet of paper, and a “good luck.”

That’s not how we do things here....so, let’s bust some myths 👇

Not all pelvic floor physical therapy clinics in San Antonio are created equal. So if you’ve ever felt rushed, unheard, or handed off to someone else during treatment, that’s not normal (or necessary).

At UpLift, we do things differently:

✹ Fitness-forward rehab that gets you back to lifting, running, and living.
✹ 1:1 hands-on care without cookie-cutter exercises.
✹ A collaborative team of six experts who share knowledge to give you the best results.
✹ Flexible scheduling + no session caps.

We’re here to make sure your body supports you instead of limits you.

If your bladder has absolutely zero chill at the worst possible times, this one’s for you 👀

This isn’t random. And it’s not because you “should’ve gone earlier.”

Most urgency issues are tied to how your brain and bladder communicate, not how full your bladder actually is. When that signal gets too sensitive, your body hits the panic button early and loud.

The good news is that this system can be retrained!

At UpLift Physical Therapy & Performance, we work with clients every day who thought urgency was just part of life until they learned how to calm the signal, rebuild control, and stop planning their day around bathrooms.

👉 If this feels a little too relatable, tap the link in our bio to book a free phone consult and let’s talk about what support could look like for your body.

(And yes
you can walk into your house without sprinting again 😅)
