Meet Dr. Harsh Patel!

Dr. Harsh Patel is a board-certified Gastroenterologist with Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. He strives to provide exceptional patient care and to build strong long-term connections with his patients. After emigrating from Nairobi, Kenya to South Florida at a young age, he went on to graduate Cum Laude from the University of Florida and Magna Cum Laude from St. George’s University School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the UT Health Science Center at Houston followed by his Gastroenterology fellowship at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Patel provides comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in all areas of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with special interests in colon cancer screening, GERD (acid reflux), inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative colitis; Crohn’s disease), and various liver diseases {Hepatitis C; Fatty liver disease). He takes pride in quality of care and evidence-based medicine, having published many abstracts and publications during his post-graduate training. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two Goldendoodles, traveling, physical fitness, sports, and watching movies/TV shows.
