Pediatric Therapy Specialists is so excited to be a part of Project Aspire! UT Health OT and SLP students will be starting their Floortime Practicum next week at our SA clinic! Project Aspire is an interprofessional workforce development project led by UT Health School of Health Professions faculty and funded by a $1.2 million grant from the Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs aims to address the shortage of highly qualified occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists trained to serve school-age children with high-intensity needs.

Day 2 of our Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Level A course was a success! Thank you to DMI founder/instructor Jake Kreindler, DPT and Dr. Tiffany. DMI is a specialized therapeutic approach used by physical and occupational therapists to optimize motor development in children with movement difficulties. It focuses on facilitating automatic movement patterns to strengthen specific muscle groups and positively impact the development of nerve connections. DMI aims to help children with motor delays achieve functional milestones like sitting, standing, and walking.
Thank you to all our volunteer models, parents, and PTS staff for making this great learning opportunity possible!
