I do not watch much TV, but in June of 2021, I watched America's Got Talent, and a singer, Jane Marczewski-Claudio, also known as “Nightbirde,” gave an outstanding performance of her original song “It’s Okay,” for which she received a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell. But, after a four-year battle with cancer, she passed away on February 19, 2022. May she rest in peace! Nightbirde adopted her professional stage name based on a recurring dream in which birds sang outside her window at night in anticipation of the morning.
During her appearance, she offered two inspirational statements: “It's important that everyone knows I'm so much more than the bad things that happen to me.” And, “You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” These two statements and the lyrics to her original song, have deep meaning, from which we all can learn!
