The UIW Eye Institute is an integral part of the Rosenberg School of Optometry, University of the Incarnate Word and is one of the largest eye clinics of its kind. Located in the San Antonio Medical Center, it serves the greater San Antonio area and surrounding South Texas communities. Our doctors of optometry and clinical staff provide the most advanced comprehen
sive eye exams for patients while providing a warm and friendly environment. We offer comprehensive eye exams for adults and children of all ages in our Primary Eye Care and Pediatric Eye Care clinics. Our specialty clinics include Ocular Disease, Vision Therapy, Contact Lens, and Low Vision. As primary eye care providers, we can assess and treat most eye problems. When needed, we offer referrals for medical issues such as cataract or laser eye surgery. Service to our community extends beyond the walls of the Eye and Vision Care Clinic. Area vision screenings for pediatric and adults as well as on-site ocular exams for some nursing homes are provided. The brand new UIW Eye Institute is a state-of-the-art facility that incorporates traditional patient care with modern clinical technology. Along with some of the most technologically advanced equipment for diagnosing eye disease, we also have an on-site gallery of eye wear to choose from. The staff of professional doctors includes both optometrists and ophthalmologists who are recognized leaders in their respective field. We understand that vision is a basic sense and one of the most precious resources to the human body. As the only faith-based school of optometry in the nation, we strive to set ourselves apart with the Highest of standards while furnishing our community with unprecedented eye care.
