Sometimes we have to leave our comfort zone for growth. We are capable of doing hard things, even if the hard thing is challenging our own beliefs and fears. Even if the hard thing is changing everything we’ve ever known in order to have a better outcome.

Also, I’ve been team Birkenstock for a while now but no one says we can’t wear heels once in a while 😂 it’s called, balance. Thanks Barbie!

Sometimes at a birth all that’s needed is time and patience. At this particular one, I noticed the parents needing a little assistance remaining calm so I put in a song that always soothes me. Turns out, we had both seen in concert recently and were big fans. We ended up listening to both albums in repeat for a few hours, chatting, laughing and even napping.

Music is one of my fave things and my favorite way to connect with others so this was a super special thank you. I love what I doula. To be honest, San Antonio has never felt like home to me but the connections I continue to make here as a birth worker fill my heart daily. Thank you for all the pockets of joy I have all over the city now, thank y’all for accepting me. Love you!

It’s Noah’s one week birthday so this is a Saron appreciation post! 💛🥳 Saron was our birth doula who supported and guided Bill and me as we brought Noah earth side. Throughout our pregnancy and labor/birth journey, Saron was a centering light and a calming balm when we needed her most. Saron helped us discern challenging decisions as we maneuvered a labor/birth that looked much different than what we had imagined. Through it all, Saron’s strength, compassion, and care shined through to help us feel empowered, strengthened, and safe as we journeyed to welcome Noah into the world. Saron helped us every step of the way during labor/birth to, as she puts it, surrender to the unimaginable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Saron. We love you very much.

Bill and I connected with Saron through Rooted Birth which is an amazing doula collective here in San Antonio. Throughout pregnancy, Bill and I learned how deeply important doulas, as well as midwives and other birth workers, are to reproductive justice and maternal health. Saron and Rooted Birth practice and imagine a more liberatory world where birth is empowering, safe, and healing. This is essential, life-giving work in a world where white supremacy, capitalism, and patriarchy try their damndest to control and manipulate the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum process. We are so thankful to continue learning from Saron and the Rooted Birth Collective to imagine, create, and practice a world that can be!

Being a doula is truly an honor for me every single time! I’m so proud of fulfilling something I’ve wanted to do for years but more importantly I’m grateful that so many beautiful women have chosen me to support them on their journeys. Thank you for the opportunity ❤️✨

My doula, admittedly only spent about 20 min with me in labor but her support the weeks prior and after meant the world to me. I truly felt like I had a big sister in my corner, and I knew that I would one day try to do the same for others. Thank you for showing me the way! ❤️

It’s been such an amazing year so far, and I’ve been honored to support so many new families. In case anyone interested, here is my availability for the next few months! In an effort to make sure I can be my best for all my clients I only take a certain amount at a time. If you’ve been thinking about reaching out for an interview, please let me know, even if I’m full on your due date I can refer you to some amazing friends of mine.🥰
I’m really excited for all I have coming up on the horizon and I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thanks for the follows, likes, shares, comments and support in all the ways you’ve shown it.✨
