San Antonio Authentic Counseling is seeking a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the potential to transition to full-time. This position offers flexible work arrangements, including in-office, virtual, or hybrid options.
At San Antonio Authentic Counseling, we provide an environment that supports professional growth and collaboration, allowing clinicians to refine their skills while consulting with colleagues on complex cases. Clinicians will have access to fully furnished office space, billing support, and client referrals, enabling them to focus primarily on delivering quality care.
We offer competitive compensation with minimal expenses for contract clinicians.
Position Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of individuals and families to assess needs following diagnosis.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy aimed at improving mental health outcomes.
• Coordinate care with other providers, agencies, and community resources to ensure holistic support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Ability to work remotely as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
Education:
• Master’s degree in Psychology or a related discipline is required.
Licensure:
• Current licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT is required.

I’m starting a group supervision class, and I’d love for you to join! It’ll be every other Wednesday for two hours, from 5:30 to 7:30. The cost is $50 per hour. The times and dates are flexible, so let me know what works best for you. We’ll likely have a hybrid session, either through Zoom or in my practice in the medical district of San Antonio. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who served as an Iraq combat Veteran. I believe life can be tough, and we all face challenges that can hold us back from living our best lives. But I’ve learned that people are incredibly resilient and hold the keys to a stronger and happier future. In therapy, feeling comfortable with your therapist is super important for making progress. I provide a transparent, honest, and non-judgmental, confidential, and relaxing environment.

I use a client-centered approach, CBT, and solution-focused therapy to help my clients identify their strengths. I’ve worked with people who struggle with depression, PTSD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and anger management. I’ve also worked with teenagers, adults, Veterans, first responders, and the geriatric population.

I’m originally from Washington State, where I joined the Army and was stationed in Germany and Texas. After my time in the Army, I worked for the El Paso Sheriffs Department for three years. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas El Paso and later moved to attend the UTSA, where I earned my Master of Social Work.

The clinicians are responsible for evaluating individuals or family needs after receiving a diagnosis and creating a custom treatment plan. Provides individual, couples, and family therapy to improve mental health.

Job duties include:
• Individual or family therapy needs and custom treatment plan
• Coordinates with other providers, agencies, and community resources to provide comprehensive care. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience:
• Two years of Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related experience is required.

Education:
