What a delightful afternoon we had on June 26th for our "Sip the Flavors of The World" signature event! From 1-3 PM, our community transformed into a global vineyard, featuring exquisite wines from six different regions: France, South Africa, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and even our very own Texas!

Guests enjoyed perfectly paired appetizers and were serenaded by the wonderful piano music of Rolando throughout the event. It was truly an enjoyable experience!

A massive thank you to our incredible Partners in Caring who helped make this event a success: Judy Peoples from Inspiration Hospice, Charlie Gerdes from Family Tree Private Care, Alexia & Marlies from Athena Wound Care, Eddie Manrique from Christus VNA Homecare San Antonio, and Julia and Ruben from Guiding Light Hospice.

And of course, hats off to our amazing Juniper Village team for their hard work in turning our community into such a beautiful wine-tasting destination! We're already looking forward to our next signature event!

Juniper is absolutely thrilled to shine a spotlight on Dina Castillo as she celebrates an incredible milestone with us! Dina has been an exceptional associate for 30 years, a remarkable achievement that predates the very operation of our building. We sat down with her to reflect on her experience at Juniper.

Dina finds deep happiness and motivation in her work at Juniper, particularly through her interactions with both residents and fellow associates. In her free time, she enjoys unwinding with a good book and cooking for her family, but many might be surprised to learn of her passion for Cumbia dancing on the dance floor. Her dedication to working in healthcare shines through in her role, where she takes great satisfaction in providing clean laundry for residents, ensuring they always look and feel their best.

A: My 'WHY' for working in our industry is deeply rooted in my passion to empower others with strength and courage. Drawing from my own experiences of overcoming challenges, I aim to inspire others to recognize their own abilities and achieve their full potential. Providing the highest quality of care, compassion, and nurture to our senior living community is at the heart of my mission.

Q: What is your favorite aspect of Juniper's culture?
A: My favorite aspect is undoubtedly the emphasis on quality. Juniper embodies excellence in every area.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: When it comes to spending a day off, you'll most likely find me with my hands in the dirt gardening or my feet on the court playing volleyball.
