Dr Garces performed the first Mazor surgery at Christus West Over Hospital. The Mazor robot, in spine surgery, refers to a system used to assist surgeons in performing precise and minimally invasive procedures. It typically helps in guiding surgical instruments with high precision, improving accuracy, reducing recovery time, and minimizing tissue damage. Overall, it aims to enhance the outcomes of spine surgeries.
Using the Mazor robot in spine surgery offers several benefits:
1. Precision: The robot provides highly accurate guidance, allowing surgeons to place instruments and implants with great accuracy.
2. Minimally Invasive: It enables minimally invasive procedures, which means smaller incisions, less muscle damage, and quicker recovery times for patients.
3. Reduced Risk: By enhancing the surgeon’s ability to operate precisely, it can reduce the risk of complications during surgery.
4. Better Outcomes: Patients often experience less pain and faster recovery, leading to improved overall outcomes.
Overall, the Mazor robot helps to make spine surgeries safer and more effective.
We want to THANK the support BEHIND THE SCENES, the people that make it all happened but seldom get any credit. We are extremely grateful that Christus system supports TNSPINE in bringing new technology that helps with the safety of our common patients, without their support and agreement to our sometimes crazy ideas, none of this would be possible. We want to thank our PA and Nurse Practitioner for their assistance during the surgery. Their help during surgery is invaluable. Medtronic for their amazing support throughout the years in helping us bring the new technology that has been so much needed for neurosurgery at Christus. Brooke, thank you for being an amazing rep for Dr Garces and thank your for supporting TNSPINE with our growth program and for your relentless energy and loyalty to Dr Garces. TNSPINE notices you and appreciates you.
Lastly but not least Dr Garces for believing in us and trusting that Christus was ready for these surgeries.
