An endovascular lab is a specialized medical facility where minimally invasive procedures are performed on blood vessels, usually arteries and veins, using imaging guidance instead of open surgery. These procedures are often called endovascular procedures.

Here’s a breakdown:
• Purpose: Treat conditions like aneurysms, blockages, blood clots, or vascular malformations without needing large incisions.
• Techniques: Doctors use catheters, guidewires, balloons, and stents to navigate inside the vessels.
• Imaging: The lab is equipped with advanced imaging tools such as fluoroscopy, X-rays, or ultrasound to see blood vessels in real time.
• Examples of procedures:
• Angioplasty and stent placement for blocked arteries
• Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)
• Thrombectomy for blood clots
• Embolization to block abnormal blood vessels

Think of it like a “high-tech operating room” for the vascular system—less invasive, faster recovery, and often safer than traditional surgery.

Dr Monsivais and team visiting Warm Springs Hospital. Inpatient physical therapy is really important for neurosurgery patients because it helps them regain strength, improve their mobility, and reduce the risk of complications like blood clots or muscle weakness. It also aids in their overall recovery and helps them get back to their normal activities faster. Hopefully it we be a start of a long lasting relationship between TNSPINE and Warm Springs Hospital. springs

Dr Cecchini visiting the Diabetes and Glandular Disease clinic physicians. Endocrinologists and neurosurgeons often collaborate when there’s a need to address issues related to the pituitary gland, for example. If there’s a pituitary tumor or any abnormalities that require surgical intervention, the endocrinologist would refer the patient to a neurosurgeon. .
