If you need an excuse to get a foot massage, here are the many benefits!

Foot massages can help to:
▪️ Relax the muscles in your feet and lower legs, relieving tension and reducing stress.
▪️ Improve circulation, which can help to reduce swelling and improve overall health.
▪️ Stimulate the release of endorphins, which are natural painkillers that can help to relieve pain and promote a sense of well-being. This may in turn improve sleep quality and enhance mental clarity.

Foot massage can be a wonderful way to take care of your feet and improve your overall health and well-being!

People who have diabetes should include foot care as part of their daily routine.

Diabetics are more susceptible to foot complications due to nerve damage caused by high blood glucose levels. This nerve damage can lead to difficulties in detecting injuries and pain, resulting in worsening conditions and delayed treatment.

The best ways to avoid any unnoticed injuries? Inspect your feet on a daily basis and check in regularly with a podiatrist!

Those issues are just as important to have a podiatrist look at, though! They could even lead to much bigger issues. The sooner a problem is addressed and treated, the sooner you can get back to a pain-free routine!

What is peripheral neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy is a nerve damage issue that affects the extremities, especially in people with diabetes. This damage can lead to numbness, which makes it more difficult to sense injuries or pain in your feet. This can lead to wounds or other injuries going untreated, which can lead to more serious consequences like infections and ulcers.

Avoid these serious consequences by staying on top of daily foot checks and regular podiatry visits!
