Loved everything I learned from the presentation by Diana Burns M.S. CCC-SLP. As a mom of a one year old and three year old, this information encouraged me and inspired me to be so much more intentional about what I’m saying to my children. EXPOSURE is so important. So even if they don’t understand exactly what “investigate” or “galaxy” means as a toddler, at least the first time they’re hearing these words isn’t in 1st or 2nd grade.

The greatest takeaway from day #1. Honoring YOUTH culture. For those working with children (and parents!), how can we engage cross-culturally as someone in a different age range? The short answer: PLAY. Learn what Roblox is, play video games together… The pixelated playground is just as important as the physical playground. Thank you for a great presentation!
