Mary Elisa Sandoval
May 6, 1936 - February 12, 2026
Mary E. Sandoval passed into eternal rest and was welcomed by angels into the house of God on February 12, 2026. God’s mission for her on this earth was completed after 89 years of love, understanding, independence, and dedication to one man, Emilio F. Sandoval, for over 34 years. Mom, your dream of reuniting has finally been realized!
She was the daughter of Enrique Medina and Beatrice Longoria, and a twin brother of Jesus Medina. She was blessed in marriage to her beloved husband, Emilio, owner of Ever-Safe Electric Company. Together, they built a life grounded in love, respect, hard work, and dedication. A mother’s love is a legacy that lives on in her children.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love knew no limits. A woman of remarkable resilience, she lived 33 years with self-sustaining independence and an unwavering work ethic, remaining active and committed up until the very day of her passing. Her strength of character and determined spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. Mary carried a positive attitude and a smile everywhere she went.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Damian and Spouse, Alma Nannette Sandoval, and son, Michael Derek and Spouse, Norma Jean Sandoval; and her daughter, Michelle Denise and Spouse, Noah Samuel Bellamy. Mary was blessed with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mom was such a positive influence
She found great joy in sports of every kind, rarely missing a game and delighting in texting friends and family throughout the action. She loved capturing life’s moments through photographs and sharing them instantly with those she loved. Saturday nights often found her happily settled in with a bag of popcorn and her one wine cooler, cheering on her favorite teams — a simple tradition that brought her immense joy.
Her vibrant spirit, independence, and love for connection will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation and Rosary Service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 907 W. Theo Ave. San Antonio, TX 78225. Rosary Service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
