Counseling offers you an opportunity to meet with a trained professional in a safe, nonjudgmental environment, who will help you better understand your situation in a non-bias way. Counseling also offers you new skills to face adversity and become more resilient when faced with life challenges. We are not in-network providers for any insurance plans. Insurance companies require that you are given a mental health diagnosis no matter the reason you are seen, and not every client has a concern that needs a mental health diagnosis. By not taking insurance, we avoid the ethical dilemma of diagnosing someone because insurance “requires” it and we have more time and creativity to invest in our clients. Payment Options:

Meet SaraJane,

SaraJane is a compassionate therapist with a heart for helping kids thrive and adults heal. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology specializing in infant and toddler mental health and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Hope International University in California, SaraJane brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her practice.

Her journey began working with children ages 7-10 during her practicum, addressing behavioral, social, and emotional needs. She then spent five years in applied behavior analysis, supporting kids with developmental disabilities such as autism. SaraJane’s passion for working with children shines through in her ability to create safe, supportive spaces for them to grow and succeed.

SaraJane is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), empowering adults to process trauma, reduce anxiety, and find healing. She combines techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy to guide clients of all ages through grief, anxiety, and life’s challenges.

When she’s not helping clients, SaraJane loves spending time with her family, including her new baby, exploring Texas, and unwinding with true crime shows. Her goal is simple yet profound: to help others see the joy around them and find peace in their lives. 🌟

Kids are constantly growing and changing, which can make it hard as a caregiver to know what’s part of normal development and what might be something deeper. You might wonder if a tantrum is just a rough day or a sign your child is struggling with something bigger.

Thankfully, there are ways to spot when your child may need extra support. Trauma, for example, often shows up differently in kids than in adults, making it easy to miss. Here are some signs your child could be facing a deeper concern:

- Tantrums or emotional outbursts that feel excessive
- Frequent nightmares or trouble falling asleep
- Negative self-talk like "I'm a bad kid"
- Withdrawal from friends, family, or activities they once loved
- Sudden difficulty focusing in school
- Physical complaints like stomachaches or headaches with no clear cause
- Reenacting intense or troubling themes through play, art, or music
- Avoiding certain places, people, or activities
- Increased anxiety or fearfulness
