Allow me to reintroduce for this weeks ā€œClient Spotlightā€.
She’s not one for too much of the spotlight, so I’ll keep it quick. Monica is one Tough person & her favorite animal is a sloth. 🦄

Training people doesn’t always mean athletes and ball players. Sometimes even ā€œChingonasā€ want a little help getting stronger & how to stunt of the haters…respectfully.

She’s done a great job teaching me how to effectively communicate to non athletes and people with ACTUAL health goals. Not with performance or aesthetic goals. She’s helped me understand that not everyone aspires to have 6 packs. Some people workout so they don’t choke people in real life.

As much as she’s learned from me about the importance of sleep, proper training, & lil bits of nutrition. I’ve had the opportunity to learn about the importance of Grace, Slowing down and ā€œGenuflecting for Jesusā€!

Peanut Butter: A Tragic Love Story.

When you first start tracking you’ll be surprised about how often some foods come up in the rotation. Foods you didn’t even notice you ate much. Foods you didn’t realize were adding 100s of calories to your day and even lbs to your belly. You can fight it. You can avoid it. Or You can even make it fit your plan.

Peanut Butter is my Kryptonite. Peanut Butter is a really calorie dense food but I love it. We used to think PB was a good source of protein, it’s not. It is a good source of fat. Who cares, I love it. I’m talking an inappropriate relationship with Peanut Butter and especially if you add Honey. Bro, spoonfuls to the sico.
I’m not even saying that jokingly.
Especially the crunchy peanut butter, that creamy peanut butter is for the birds.

Give me them…pause!

You really wanna break your own heart, do what I did. I weighed out how much crunchy peanut butter I snack on in a day. It wasn’t pretty. Ask or . They both help keep me accountable with my peanut butter habit.
I still find ways to eat it, I just am able to hit my weight goals as long as I’m mindful about how much I eat.

What bout y’all? What foods do you smash a whole bunch of, if you’re not careful?

Let me cook:

The 3ļøāƒ£ worst indicators of a ā€œgoodā€ workout.

1. Sweaty
2. Sore
3. Tired

1. Sweaty isn’t an indicator of calorie burn, it’s your body’s temperature gauge. Turn on a fan.

2. If you’re REALLY sore, that means you overreached with your workout. You did way too much. Building Muscle and Recovery are two different processes.

3. If you have to lay down AFTER your workout, then whoever ā€œdesignedā€ your workout doesn’t have a clear understanding of your current fitness level. Fire them.

Enough of not being able to walk without being out of breath.
Enough avoiding mirrors.
Enough time having to search hard for clothes that actually fit.
He had enough of not getting enough nutrients from his weight loss surgery.

He chose to change it all.
He enrolled in college at 44 & finished freshman year w a GPA that was as high as Snoop Dogg before a concert.
He chose to take control of his health after dealing with issues with his bariatric surgery.
He chose to build muscle so he could change the way he looked & felt about himself.

Farmers Walks are one of my fave things to do. So many benefits like addressing the posture, addressing core imbalances, etc etc etc.

More importantly, it feels bad as picking heavy s**t up and putting it over there.
