RN & Community Nurse Education Specialist

For our Care Beyond the Cure event, we’re proud to highlight Raven Phelps-Jackson — a nurse whose passion for education, service, and compassionate care truly sets her apart.

With over 21 years of nursing experience, Raven has cared for patients across a wide range of settings including ICU, dialysis, wound care, Med-Surg, and postpartum care. Her diverse clinical background allows her to meet patients and families with both skill and empathy during some of life’s most meaningful and vulnerable moments.

In her role as a Community Nurse Education Specialist, Raven is dedicated to helping others better understand care — empowering families with knowledge, confidence, and support when they need it most.

But her impact doesn’t stop there.

Outside of work, Raven is a devoted wife and proud mother of six. She pours her heart into her community by leading a youth football and cheer organization, running her own catering business, and continuing to grow through learning and investing.

to shaping young minds as an educator and assistant principal…

Sharon has spent her life showing up for others in meaningful ways.

Now, in this next chapter, she’s answering a deeply personal calling — walking alongside individuals and families at the end of life.

As an End-of-Life Doula, Sharon provides holistic, nonmedical support — helping families shift the focus from illness to what truly matters: the person, their story, and their humanity.

She offers guidance, emotional and spiritual support, and practical care from diagnosis through bereavement — ensuring no one has to navigate this journey alone.

As an Advanced Care Planner, she also empowers individuals to make their wishes known, giving families clarity, peace, and confidence during life’s most difficult moments.
