"Myth:
Rest is the best way to help my back or neck when I'm in pain​

​Reality:
A short period of bed rest may help reduce acute pain, but doctors generally advise against more than one or two days of bed rest.

​

In fact, resting and general inactivity can lead to more pain, as lack of activity leads to muscle wasting and stiffness, which in turn can create more back pain or neck pain and lead to an unhealthy cycle of pain/inactivity/more pain/more inactivity.

​

For most conditions, physicians will recommend a long-term rehabilitation program of active physical therapy, adjustments and exercise.

Happy Holidays Y’all!!!!!! From our family to yours 🙂

Holiday hours reminder:

We will be closing for Christmas week and running limited hours through the holiday season. Much needed time off for these hard working ladies!
