Day 2: How did Yoga come into your life?

When I first got into yoga it was strictly for the physical practice. I had been working in a hair salon full time and I had hella back and shoulder pain because of it, so I was like “yoga will fix this!” It ended up fixing my mental health too, so it turned out to be a win/win situation.

I took my first yoga class at with the amazing . It went beyond any expectations of what I thought yoga would be. I felt bliss, and a sense of calmness I hadn’t felt in a long time. I’ll always remember that first yoga class I took, it was the beginning of such a beautiful lifelong journey.

After exploring the world of asana for about a year, I wanted to start going a little deeper into the more spiritual side of yoga. I began guided meditations with and I can’t even find the words to explain how magical that experience was. When I first met Magenta in the hair salon years before, I felt in my soul that she was going to be an important person later on in my life. So thank you, for showing me how amazing the healing energies of yoga can be and blasting my third eye open. And, for getting me into tarot lol

Last year I completed my 200YTT and had the privilege of learning from and . Both of these goddesses are such an inspiration and I’m thankful for the wisdom they passed down to me. Honored that I got to learn from 2 of the best 🖤

Yoga gave me an entirely new perspective on life and continues to help me heal every single day. I’m so thankful for all the amazing experiences I’ve had and for the wonderful people I’ve met along the way. And also, extremely honored to be able to share this practice with others 🖤

Day 1: How is Yoga for Everybody

Yoga is a practice that deepens our awareness of who we are. It’s an experience in which we move through the body to get to the soul, to experience who we are on a deeper level.

It’s so easy to get caught up in life, in all of our external experiences and distractions. Without tuning inward, how would we ever know if the life we’re living, resonates with our soul purpose?

When you deepen your connection with yourself, you begin to create a purposeful life you want to live. You form deeper connections with those around you. You’re able to remove yourself from people, places, and things that don’t deserve your time and energy.

And that is something that everybody deserves to experience. You can experience that through the practice of yoga, when you meet yourself where you are in this moment.
