Feeling stressed or like you're about to go into "BURNOUT"?

Over the past years, especially the last 5, I've found ways to connect body & mind wellness. There is so much science, and research continues, but there's already a lot of science and evidence-based answers to "Cheer-Up and Chill-Out" in our "non-stop" world that lacks compassion.

Self-compassion is where we start healing in our communities.

From there we find the tools to support us in transforming our mind and body well-being.

Neurofeedback Therapy has been one of the transformational tools in my journey. Nutrition was another huge piece of the puzzle. Plus the right people guiding me through it all.

The evidence-based research indicates that neurofeedback is an effective tool for reducing stress across various contexts, including workplace stress, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and stress-related insomnia. By training the brain to achieve more balanced and optimal brainwave patterns, neurofeedback helps individuals manage stress more effectively and improve their overall mental well-being. It has been a life-changing experience for me.

Recent research underscores the importance of maintaining adequate levels of vitamins and nutrients to support mental well-being. Supplements can be particularly beneficial for individuals with deficiencies.

Are you an affirmation lover or skeptic? They may sound too simple to be effective, but I find them surprisingly helpful! Affirmations are like little love notes to yourself, sprinkled with positivity and empowerment. They have the power to transform your mindset and boost your confidence.

As moms, we wear so many hats and juggle countless responsibilities every day. It's easy to get lost in the chaos and forget to take care of ourselves. But guess what? You are AMAZING, and it's time to remind yourself of that every single day!

Your affirmations––aka Mama Mantras––can be sentences or phrases you use to describe how you want to be or how you want your circumstances to be, all in a way that affirms that it is true or will become true.

Here are some Mama Mantras to get you started.
Feel free to change them up and make them your own!

🌸 I am doing the best I can, and that is always enough.
🌸 I am worthy of love, respect, and happiness.
🌸 I am strong, capable, and resilient.
🌸 I embrace imperfection and celebrate progress.
🌸 I am deserving of self-care and prioritizing my needs.
🌸 When there is chaos around me, I am calm.
🌸 I fully embrace today.
🌸 I am leaving a legacy of love.

How to use them
Repeat your affirmations daily and watch how they work their magic in your life. 💫 We recommend trying them in front of a mirror, but it’s also great to write them in a journal or on sticky notes you’ll see, say them out loud, or say them in your head. Repeat them when you wake up and also right before sleep. Repetition is key here!

Most poignantly, a landmark survey showed that lack of social connectedness predicts vulnerability to disease and death beyond traditional risk factors such as smoking, blood pressure, and physical activity! Eat your greens and exercise, yes, but don’t forget to connect."

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

1 leanest - 3 Green - 2 Healthy fat - 3 Condiment (per serving)

4 servings
Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp oil, like avocado oil
• 4 tsp chili powder
• 2 tsp chopped cilantro (optional)
• 2 lbs. 99% lean ground turkey
• 4 tbsp guacamole
• 1 tsp salt
• 4 tbsp sour cream
• 3 cups diced yellow bell pepper
• 3 cups diced zucchini

Directions:

1. In a large pot over medium high heat, combine the ground turkey and avocado oil. Allow the turkey to brown while breaking it up into small pieces.

2. Once fully cooked, transfer the cooked turkey to a slow cooker along with the chili powder, diced vegetables and enough water to cover the ingredients.

3. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or until the vegetables reach the desired tenderness.

4. Ladle 2 1/2 cups of soup into 4 soup bowls and garnish each bowl of soup with 1 tablespoon of sour cream, 1 tablespoon of guacamole, and a ½ teaspoon of cilantro (if desired).
