A heartbreaking loss felt across generations.

Our hearts are broken with the loss of Dick Eastland, a man who poured his soul into Camp Mystic and into the lives of so many campers who passed through its gates. He was a beloved figure to countless families—mentoring, guiding, and quietly shaping generations with faith, humility, and love.

Together with his beautiful and loving wife Tweety, Dick built more than a camp — they built a legacy of strength, spirit, and sisterhood that will live on for generations.

We offer our deepest condolences to the Eastland family and all who loved Dick. This is a grief that echoes far beyond Hunt, Texas. For so many, Camp Mystic is more than a place — it’s a part of who they are. And now, that heart is hurting.

We are praying not only for the Eastland family, but for every parent, every camper—past and present—every counselor, and every responder holding the line in this tragedy. The weight of this loss is great, but so is the love this community has built over the years.

May God hold every grieving soul close, and may we find comfort in the power of prayer and the strength of each other.

With deepest sympathy and enduring love.
