Her professional career started after she received her Level One Coaching Certificate through the Canadian Equestrian Federation in 1991. After marrying her husband (retired SFC James Shead) they settled in Texas, and she continues to enjoy time spent "in the saddle" and just being with her ho

rses in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. She has worked for veterinarians, one of whom is still active with performance and pleasure horses in the greater San Antonio area. She has seen the benefits of holistic therapy and medical treatments for the athletes and family members in the equine industry. Happy horses = happy riders. She completed her certification through Equissage, Texas, and is ready to help your horses with massage therapy.

Our Story

Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist Deanne Shead, has been in the horse industry for over 25 years. Her professional career started after she received her Level One Coaching Certificate through the Canadian Equestrian Federation in 1991. She also attended the Equine Studies program at Humber College in Ontario, Canada, where classes included Anatomy & Physiology, Equine Fitness Physiology and she rode under some of the best coaches in the industry in both disciplines (Western pleasure, Hunter Jumper/Dressage). After marrying her husband (retired SFC James Shead) in 1995, they settled in Texas, and she continues to enjoy time spent "in the saddle" and just being with her horses in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. She has worked for veterinarians in the Austin and San Antonio area, specializing in performance and pleasure horses. She has seen the benefits of holistic therapy and medical treatments for the athletes and family members in the equine industry. Her passion led her to massage therapy. Happy horses = happy riders.
