Only one of these shoes has an "upper" that connects the shoe to the foot. Can you spot it?

Said another way, while these shoes are all pretty close in upper shape/mass, only one pair of them are not slip-ons...or as I like to point out, slip-offs.

We are making hundreds of choices about the way our bodies move each day. Most choices are made pretty mindlessly (we're not aware we're choosing) and other times we are choosing without being aware of the options. This is what my new book "Rethink Your Position" is trying to shed light on: our movement options.

P.S. Without a fully attached upper on your shoe, your feet and legs have to do the work (tighten certain "gripping" muscles, and change the way you walk) to keep them on. Just in case you didn't know that.
