Vision screening is a way to find children who might have eye problems or vision issues. The goal is to find problems early so they can be fixed. Screenings happen at schools, doctor offices, and in the community. If there is a concern about vision, how the eyes line up, or how the eyes look at these screenings, a more in-depth examination with an eye doctor is recommended.

Please call Children's Eye Center of South Texas, PA at 210-340-6633 to schedule an appointment, if your child might have problems or vision issues identified by the school nurse or Pediatrician!

We ask all customers, patients and parents to help us maintain a positive atmosphere here at the Children’s Eye Center of South Texas, PA.

Our facility is a healing environment. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
Examples of behavior not tolerated:

• Physical Assault
• Verbal/Written Harassment
• Abusive/Foul Language
• Threats

Any incidents involving inappropriate or aggressive behavior may result in termination of the patient/provider relationship, removal from the facility and/or legal action.

This week we celebrate World Orthoptic Day!

Kaylee Flores, CO and Claire Hennessey, CO are our two wonderful Orthoptists. They specialize in the evaluation and treatment of eye movement problems, binocular vision and visual function in both children and adults. They both work with Dr. Charles McCash and Dr. Rachel Cooley with patients that have conditions such as Amblyopia, Strabismus and Diplopia (Double Vision). We are delighted to take this time to introduce them to you and continued thanks to them for the care they provide you and the rest of the community!

Hello! Patients with HMO plans need prior authorization for their appointments.

This is your responsibility to obtain from your Primary Care Doctor.

You can reschedule or self-pay if you do not have your authorization.

Typically, if you have not established with a P*P prior, they may not issue you one.

Hello! The land next to Children's Eye Center of South Texas, PA is under construction. This may impact our parking lot for several weeks. We do have parking along both sides, in the front and in the back. Please be patient while we get thru this process. Thanks!
