I draw on my significant experience as a clinician, and I stay up to date with current treatment options. Second, I have committed myself to the community. San Antonio has been my home since moving to the United States thirty-five years ago. As a resident, I was one of the first female obstetrician/gynecologists to train in San Antonio and became deeply attached to the city. As a result, I have raised a family here and am involved in various service projects throughout the city. Third, I am committed to the education of future doctors for San Antonio and the country. For the past thirty years, I have served as a clinical professor in obstetrician/gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Over that time, I have had the privilege of training and working with a number of great doctors. In fact, many of my residents are practicing doctors in San Antonio today! As an academician, I realized the importance of staying current with techniques, learning from patients and students, and adopting a flexible approach. All of these commitments form the basis for my experience as a physician. But they are secondary to my fundamental promise to you: I pledge to build an enduring relationship with you, if you choose to visit me.
