I am a counselor and I specialize in adoption issues, combat related or sexual assault related PTSD, military family/ deployment issues, childhood physical/ sexual abuse, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and phase of life issues. I worked in Germany assisting U.S. veterans with concerns related to military service. I currently conduct relapse prevention counseling with low income clients exper

iencing suicidal thoughts, mental health and/or substance use problems. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I enjoy working with people of all ages. I received my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and I am currently earning my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at UTSA. I am currently a Teaching Assistant at UTSA.

​I have ten years experience in the areas of training, business administration, and project management. Furthermore, I pursued both my master's and my bachelor's degrees as a non-traditional, online student. I served in my community as a military spouse involved in leadership positions in Family Readiness Groups, Mayor's Program, and Girl Scouts and maintained an excellent G.P.A. despite military moves every one to two years throughout the last decade. I have raised 4 children, one of whom was adopted. I have been a military spouse for 19 years. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I enjoy working with people of all ages.
