All Paws Great & Small Pet Funeral Home and Crematory is owned by Mary and Craig Cates, who also own, MeadowLawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park. MeadowLawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park has been continuously serving the San Antonio community since 1963. Mary and Craig Cates are the second generation to serve this community. The Crematory was established and first provided services in 1991 and is

now the second largest crematory in the state of Texas. In April 2004, the Cates family decided to expand their facilities and offer their experience in crematory services to your beloved pets. The Crematory has two separate buildings; one houses the human crematories and the other the pet crematories. Our goal is to take care of you after the loss of a pet. We provide many options, and our helpful staff is available to guide you through the process.

Honoring K9 Groot 🐾

As K9 Groot made his final journey leaving the Veterinary Clinic, Border Patrol agents stood in solemn salute—paying tribute to a true hero. 🇺🇸

With heavy hearts, we remember K9 Groot of the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office in Eagle Pass, Texas.
More than a K9, he was a partner, protector, and friend. His courage in the line of duty—from patrol work to narcotics detection—will never be forgotten.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of K9 Groot, a loyal and courageous member of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. Groot served with unwavering dedication, protecting his community and standing shoulder to shoulder with his fellow deputies.

More than just a police dog, K9 Groot was a true partner, a guardian, and a beloved member of the department. His keen instincts, tireless work ethic, and steadfast loyalty made him an invaluable asset in countless operations. From patrol duties to narcotics detection, Groot's service was marked by professionalism and bravery.

K9 Groot’s legacy will live on in the lives he protected and the people he inspired. We honor his service, mourn his loss, and will forever remember him as a hero.
