St. Mary's University Family Life Center

St. Mary's University Family Life Center The Family Life Center provides quality counseling for individuals, couples and families for a sliding scale fee. There are no income or residency restrictions.

Clients of the Family Life Center receive individual therapy, couple therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and/or neurofeedback training. Fees are based on household income and number of dependents (no insurance or third-party payments accepted). By appointment only; no walk-ins please. Clinicians are advanced graduate students in Marriage and Family Therapy or Counseling programs at the Department of Counseling and Human Services at St. Mary's University. Clinicians are supervised by doctoral-level faculty. Both programs (Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling) are nationally accredited. The Family Life Center at St. Mary's University encourages participation and interaction. This profile serves as a forum for discussions about University-related topics and interactions among people with an interest in our school. We hope to provide a forum for dialogue among the many diverse voices of our University, and we encourage comments about the content you find here. However, The Family Life Center reserves the right, to remove posts containing personal attacks, profanity, nudity, hate speech or illegal material, advertisement unrelated to University activities, conflict with the mission of the University, political campaign activities, lobbying activities, or any post at our discretion. Yesterday we celebrated Dr. Melanie Harper, who after 18 amazing years in our department, is taking the next wonderful step in her journey and retiring from St. Mary's University.

Dr. Harper has been such a vital and endearing part of department, imparting so much wisdom and care into each student, that she will be deeply missed!
