Please join us in welcoming Cristin Duquette, MS, LPC-Associate to the Wellspring family! She is supervised by Adam Campos, MA, LPC-S and Christina Villarreal-Davis, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, RST-C/T, NCC.

Cristin has experience working with both young adults and children and is passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients can feel safe, understood, and empowered. She helps individuals explore their strengths, build insight, and develop skills to navigate life’s challenges.

Her background includes working in a university counseling setting, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, social anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, relationships, career concerns, LGBTQ+ support, and late-diagnosed autism. She also has experience working with children in after-school and ABA settings and is currently expanding her training in Child-Centered Play Therapy.

Cristin’s approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, integrating CBT and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and she is currently pursuing her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential under the supervision of Dr. Christina Villarreal-Davis.

When she’s not working, Cristin enjoys reading, gaming, anime, traveling, and spending time with her pup.

💜💙 Welcome Jessica Born to Wellspring of Life! 💙💜

We are excited to welcome Jessica Born, LPC-Associate, supervised by Dr. Veronica Ball, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT, CSC, to the Wellspring of Life Counseling team!

Jessica earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2024. Before becoming a counselor, she spent 6 years teaching English and Special Education, and has worked with adolescents since 2009 and adults since 2020, including veterans and active-duty military.

She specializes in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, Autism, phobias, and school-related challenges. Jessica approaches therapy as a shared voyage toward healing and growth, using a person-centered approach along with evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.

Please join us in warmly welcoming **Mikayla Piwonka, MA, LPC-Associate** to Wellspring of Life Counseling!

Mikayla is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of **Dr. Christina Villarreal-Davis, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, RST-C/T, NCC** and **Adam Campos, MA, LPC-S**. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Edward’s University in December 2025.

Mikayla brings experience from an inpatient treatment setting, where she had the privilege of walking alongside individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments. This work strengthened her belief that people are always doing the best they can with the resources available to them and deepened her respect for the courage it takes to begin therapy.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in **Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)** and **Existential frameworks**, supporting clients in strengthening self-worth, building autonomy, increasing awareness of choice, and cultivating greater congruence within themselves and their relationships. Mikayla views therapy as a collaborative process centered on empowerment and growth.

When working with children, Mikayla utilizes a **Child-Centered Play Therapy** approach to create a warm, accepting space where children feel free to explore and express themselves without judgment. She is currently pursuing her **Registered Play Therapist (RPT)** credential and receives play therapy supervision from Dr. Christina Villarreal-Davis.

Outside of the therapy room, Mikayla enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, baking, being outdoors, and connecting with loved ones.

We are excited to welcome Moriah Tate, MA, LPC-Associate to the Wellspring of Life Counseling team! 💙
Moriah is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of Jamoki “JD” Dantzler, Ph.D., LPC-S and Dr. Christina Villarreal-Davis, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, RST-C/T, NCC. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in August 2025.
Moriah works with children, adolescents, and adults, offering a supportive and collaborative space for healing and growth. She has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and relationship challenges.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Moriah is also pursuing her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential and is currently under play therapy supervision.
Outside of the therapy room, Moriah enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, art, and entertainment.
