Massive news for our institution and the ongoing fight against the opioid crisis!

UT Health San Antonio's Be Well Texas has been awarded $256 million by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to expand opioid use disorder treatment and recovery services across the state.

Join us in wishing these students a successful year! 🎉✨

If you attended yesterday’s orientation but didn’t get a chance to sign up for “Grab a Coffee with Jeffrey,” feel free to send us a DM so we can help schedule for you!

Our hearts are with our neighbors in our beloved Texas Hill Country as the magnitude of the devastating floods continues to unfold. We are heartbroken at the unimaginable loss that has taken place during this unprecedented tragedy.

Our deepest appreciation goes out to the countless first responders and volunteers who are working tirelessly to find those still missing, as well as providing food, shelter and other resources.

Integration update!

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, our institutional accreditor for quality assurance in higher education, has officially approved the merger of UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio and UT Health San Antonio effective Sept. 1, 2025.

Even more affirming, our submission was reviewed favorably by the commission.

We are now poised to become the third-largest research university in Texas and build on the momentum that amplifies our strengths, our unique advantages and the scale of our collective impact. With more than 17,000 faculty and staff, 40,000 students, over 350 degrees, certificates, and programs, and as home to the region’s only academic health center, we stand at a historic inflection point—a moment to build a university unlike any other that is rooted in excellence.

Wishing our alumni dads a very Happy Father’s Day!
