Two generations. One university. A lasting impact. 🦷 🧑‍🎓

In 1983, John Austin, DDS, left his thriving practice to become a faculty member at UT Health San Antonio Dentistry. He mentored students with the same compassion he showed patients, opening his home when a tornado displaced dental students.

Today, his son, alumni council member Joshua Austin, DDS, '06, honors that legacy through scholarship, ensuring talented students can pursue their dreams.

With graduating classes represented from the 1970s to 2025, the evening was a true celebration of legacy, leadership and lifelong connection. From inspiring guest speakers to amazing food, the best part of the night was the laughter shared across generations.
