United Medical Center's Breast and Cervical Center Awareness Event
October 16, 2025 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM
3295 Bob Rogers Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas

On October 16, 2025, United Medical Centers, in partnership with Southwest Border AHEC, will host a Breast and Cervical Awareness event to promote early detection, education, and preventive care for women's health. The event will provide attendees with information on screenings, health resources, and support services, emphasizing the importance of regular check-ups and awareness in preventing serious health issues. Southwest Border AHEC will offer educational materials and resources to help community members better understand breast and cervical health. Seco Mines - Head Start Fair

On April 25, 2025, the Southwest Border Area Health Education Center (AHEC), in collaboration with local Head Start programs, hosted a community event in Eagle Pass dedicated to promoting oral health for children. The event featured engaging activities and educational sessions tailored to young children and their families, highlighting the importance of good oral hygiene practices and regular dental care. First Aid Spring Break Camp

During the week of March 17-March 20, Southwest Border AHEC hosted its First Aide Spring Camp for high school and college students. The camp offered students an opportunity to develop and practice their first aid skills through a variety of fun and interactive activities. The Southwest Border AHEC team was joined by local health care professionals who provided their expertise to make this event great for the students of Eagle Pass.
