Due to a recent report (February 13, 2026) from the Texas Department of State Health Services, there are confirmed cases of measles in unvaccinated residents of Kendall and Bandera county. Given the close proximity to San Antonio, and concerns for our pregnant and immunocompromised patients, we kindly request that all patients and families/children of patients who have NOT received adequate measles vaccination abstain from entering any of our clinic locations. We also request that any persons with known or suspected exposure to measles, or anyone with a fever 101 or higher, or a generalized rash do not enter our clinics, but rather reach out to the health department for instructions regarding testing and management.
We recommend this with the reminder that pregnant women cannot receive measles vaccine boosters during pregnancy, and pregnant women are at especially increased risk of serious illness and death if measles is contracted. Newborns and infants
