Melisa Fleming has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the San Antonio area since 2005 and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2017. Her areas of expertise are working with Military, individuals, couples, and families in areas such as: Anxiety, Depression, Transition, Parenting, and Stress Management. Melisa’s goal is to help clients build on their strengths to help them C-Beyond the challenges life brings. Melisa worked closely with schools, children, adolescents and families while working at Communities in Schools-San Antonio. While at Omni Counseling and Psychological, Melisa worked with Military individuals/families/couples, couples, individuals, and children and families in mandated services. At a World for Children Melisa’s primary focus was therapeutic services and support for children and adolescents in foster care; as well as, support and training for foster care parents. Melisa currently works at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center as the Program Director for the outpatient child and adolescent program, while also seeing individuals, families, and running groups. Melisa is an adjunct professor at Texas A&M San Antonio and Webster University-San Antonio teaching master’s level counseling courses. While counseling is Melisa’s passion, she finds it equally important to provide high quality supervision for Masters and Ph.D. level Licensed Professional Counselor-Interns. Melisa has been supervising practicum students and interns for over 5 years. She believes in high ethical values and client focused therapeutic relationship.
