Position Description:
We’re hiring a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) / Hardware Engineer IV to work in Albuquerque, NM in support of the US Air Force Space Mission. This individual will conduct research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components. Designs new or modify existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions, and test hardware conformance to specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing COMSEC material and automated equipment, including maintaining security, from receipt through usage and eventual consumption/destruction
The selected candidate will work with alternate and government COMSEC custodians and will assist them in their daily operations
Conduct inventories of all equipment handled by hand receipt holders and will support periodic rekey and installation of new devices
Work with configuration management team to develop, update and maintain hardware baselines and conduct physical audits of hardware
Update and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and develop/implement new SOPs as needed
Brief/de-brief users in and out of the COMSEC program
Ensure stakeholders are kept updated on significant developments and events
Will be inputting data, creating managing and updating hardware baselines in CAMEO and SharePoint
Develop and maintain the master engineering drawing list (MEDL)
Manage request for drawing actions (RFDA) for Class 2 changes
Coordinate with supply chain team for audits
Requirements:
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in science and technology related discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university with 9 + years of experience. Four years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
Must possess DoD 8570 baseline certification
Must be familiar with NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16, Control of Communications Security (COMSEC) Manual
Familiar with and able to read engineering drawings
Must have recent experience (within the last five years) with at least 3 of the following:
Tracking all COMSEC inventory using the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI)
System administrator for the KMI Management Client (MGC)
Providing COMSEC customer support via walk-in, email, telephone, REMEDY, or Automated Messaging Handling System (AMHS)
Receiving, generating, and distributing electronic keying materials
Stocking, storing, and issuing keying materials to COMSEC subaccounts and other COMSEC accounts
Maintaining records and files, reporting security incidents, and providing periodic status reports regarding COMSEC material
Knowledge of the legacy Electronic Key Management System/ Local Management Device/Key
Desired Experience:
Asset and/or data tracking experience preferred
Drafting experience preferred
Experience using SharePoint and CAMEO Systems Modeler
Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction and oversight
Good understanding of disciplined process; information and data management, configuration control
Ability to provide high-level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data
