A recent study published in JAMA Internal Medicine estimates that CT scans performed in 2023 could contribute to more than 103,000 future cancer cases in the U.S.—accounting for about 5% of all annual cancer diagnoses.

Key Findings:

Over 93 million CT scans were conducted last year

Abdominal and pelvic scans posed the highest cancer risk

Children and older adults are especially vulnerable

While CT scans remain a vital diagnostic tool, researchers urge more cautious and judicious use, emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making by both physicians and patients. In many cases, safer imaging alternatives may be available.

I just want to remind all of our clients that we are a family owned business and for many years we have made it known that we do not allow walk-ins our first and last hour. If we so happen to be there, we will make exceptions but it is a chance you take coming the last hour unannounced without an appointment. If you show up 10 till 5 on a Friday, I can pretty much tell you I have let my employees go home when appointments are complete. This may be a slight inconvenience to some but we do have varying hours to try to accommodate and we also are happily able to schedule you in those time slots ahead of time. Late times require an appointment! We can also put your needed items in the box if we are made aware. We always are willing to accommodate any way we can, but it must be communicated! Thank you.

We are so very heartbroken by the passing of the most beautiful, courageous girl we have had the privilege to take care of. A house hold name for a couple of years now, we have grown to love this amazing family. We pray that Jesus wraps his arms tightly around them and give them the comfort and peace He promises. Today will be a rough day for so many, for she has touched and inspired so many. We love you sweet Aubrey and know you’re are dancing in heaven now!

If I didn’t know better.. I’d think you were talking to me now… if I didn’t know better, I’d think you’re still around.

Pray for our peace as we learn to live for Aubrey and not with Aubrey.
