If you feel like you’ve had a bad hour--or day, or week, or entire quarantine period--with your kids, offer yourself grace and patience, and a little love. It’s never too late to start again and have a do-over. All parents will find themselves being reactive, or yelling from time to time, and the most important thing we can do when we have ruptures with our kids, is repair and reconnect. Apologizing can teach our kids how to make amends when they make mistakes in relationships, to pick themselves up and begin again when they have setbacks, and to learn that even when there are conflicts, relationships aren’t so fragile, and we can always reconnect. Do you feel like you need a do-over sometimes? Click the link below to hear more.

Our Story

We have offices in San Antonio and Victoria, Texas.

Mission Psychology is a team of behavioral health experts, committed to helping people with medical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. We aim to provide personalized care by understanding the unique needs of our patients and empowering them in building the skills needed to cope, grown and thrive.

Psychologists are doctors, but we are different than psychiatrists. We are not medical doctors and we do not prescribe medicine. We work closely with your physicians to coordinate your care. Psychologists are also different than counselors. We have specialized training in assessment as well as therapy, allowing for more in-depth understanding of people’s problems. Psychologists are more highly trained in research, allowing us to better understand and explain the newest findings in psychology and related fields.

Our assessments are aimed at helping those who have concerns related to cognitive difficulties due to dementia, ADHD, TBI, seizure disorders, learning challenges, autism, and mood disorders. Assessments can help develop a better understanding challenges and psychotherapy or counseling is often a helpful follow up to assessments.
