Books are more than just pages; they are keys to knowledge, growth, and success. Reading enhances creativity, critical thinking, and personal development. I almost always turn to books during times when life has challenged me with a new adventure-such as parenthood (no one is ever ready!!!), building a business, enjoying new relationships, and learning from past relationships.

On the BrINK of Catharsis: Writing Toward the Healing Process

Everyone has experienced some kind of difficulty or trauma in their lives. Healing is a process, and writing can be a key tool in that process. There will be a panel discussion with three authors discussing their writings focusing on healing and emotion. A Q & A session follows. Participants will have an opportunity to write but are not required to share. It's in one week.

Have you heard of “bibliotherapists”? It’s new for me. “Bibliotherapy as a practice centers around the intentional use of literature for emotional healing, reflection, and growth.” according to this article. It’s about connecting and reading books - something many of us are doing less. I know when I read, it helps so much and makes me feel good - especially when it is a book or article I like. You can gather in San Antonio at different libraries to sit down and read with others or join a book club.
