dont think like everybody else and most of the time they are angry because
they are tender. They may not do well in school or labeled ADHD or other labels. They may not read well or they may be absolutely brillant and excel in school. They get bored easily and may not get along with other children. Young people will be learning how to s...upport each other and listen better. Dealing with feelings. They will learn how to NOT mistreat each other and
themselves. They will learn about oprression and MLKs Principles of Non-Volence
and Conflict Mediation. We will do art, theatre ,sports, yoga, meditation, music
and dance. We will get an idea about what healing is all about and other good
information. Classes will include indigenous concepts of spirituality and culture. HERE IS AN EXCERPT FROM ONE OF MY CLASSES:
Today was the last class until maybe Sept. I was gonna work on Daddy issues
this week but decided I wanted to get the brother sister fighting issues and
attacks in class adressed asap. First, I reminded them about how much they do love each other and got them
to listen and working on closeness. I got them each to take turns telling each
other what they couldnt stand about each other REVERSED. EX.Like I love it
when you give that fake smile and come in my room and sneak thru my things. A lot of giggling and WHAT! faces....Then I asked them to take turns telling
each other what they would like it to look like and what they really were trying
to get from one another. Lots of embarassment about being vulnerable and
tenderoni ( weak) . I also worked with the boys on being close to one anoth...er and we talked
about homophobia and the threat of violence if they hug each other. After that breaks to be silly and eat together and visit giggle sing dance
hang out Then we did ANIMAL MEDICINE CARD READINGS. I taught them to shuffle the cards focus and ask a question, using oracles,
using intuition and clarvoyiance. Attention and Intention. Thru the readings
from the animals we spoke about SACRED LAW vs HUMAN LAW. From the CROW card we learned about how the sacred laws were written
by women. And that one sacred law is "ALL THEINGS ARE BORN OF WOMEN. Then we spoke about the FIVE SACRED THINGS and how they must never
be bought or sold. We talked about nepantla as being able to see the past
present and future at the same time. The young NEPANTLERA/OS worked hard today and were getting sleepy and
tired by the time NOON came . I am proud of the work they have done. Class is limited to 12 and is free. PARENTS MUST ATTEND TWO CLASSES. And parents are welcome to learn some new things and do some hard
work. Also if anyone wants to teach something, let me know

Mariachi music opens a sense of nostalgia and warmth, transporting you back to your roots and the comfort of home. The vibrant sounds of the guitars, violins, and trumpets, combined with the passionate vocals, create a deep emotional connection. El grito too!

Mariachi music often represents:

The music echoes memories of:

1. Family gatherings

4. Traditional holidays (Dia de los Mu***os, Navidad)
5. Childhood moments

Happy December Solstice!

For the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year. It reaches its peak today, 4 Caban, December 21, 2023, at 7:27 pm Pacific / 10:27 pm Eastern time.

For the Southern Hemisphere, it is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. It reaches its peak at the same time, but for the other half of the planet that's technically tomorrow, 5 Etznab, December 22, 2023, at 2:27 pm Eastern Australian time.

We no longer refer to "winter" or "summer" solstice, because this celestial event impacts the world in two different ways at the same time. We honor both hemispheres in today's Solstice post.

07/23/2023

Welcome to the Trecena of Etznab!

Let us focus on our health this time around. Usually we spend time with Etznab walking along its knife's edge, trying to see the sharper angles of the truth, breaking through veils of deception and falsehood.

It is this same blade that surgeons use to perform their work literally, and that doctors and healers use metaphorically to cut away malignant disease and illness. So if you are suffering from any sort of ailment, disease, be it short-lived or chronic, harness the healing powers of Etznab to aid the healing work you welcome to your body, be it done by you or by your healer.

Etznab, or Tijax in K’iche’ Maya, is the daysign of Obsidian, an extremely sharp natural glass formed by volcanic activity. Like obsidian, Etznab cuts to the core of things. It cuts through not only deception, evil, and negative energies, but also physical illness. For this reason it is an auspicious sign for healers (curanderas), surgeons and doctors, for all matters health and wellness, medicine and curing of disease.

THE DAYS OF THE ETZNAB TRECENA
(For the full text of each day, consult the book or the app)

July 15: 1 Etznab/Tijax
Have the courage to look directly into your heart, body and mind, without prejudice and without judgment, but with full acceptance and recognition of that which needs work or improvement. Rejoice in that which you have made already strong, and commit to new and future steps toward full and complete healing.

July 16: 2 Cauac/Kawoq
A rainstorm can bring the gift of fertile soils to parched fields or it can destroy entire cities. It doesn’t take much for a life-giving rain to turn into a devastating typhoon. Direct the ever-present potential for drama and upheaval in Cauac toward the positive things that you desire.

July 17: 3 Ahau/Ajpu
In any conflict or challenge, the most debilitating force comes in the form of the unknown. Today, Ox (Three) will present you with your opponent, whether it be human or animal, situational or physical, mental or psychological. Call on Ahau for intuition and sharpen your resolve with Etznab to strengthen the willpower and confidence you need.

July 18: 4 Imix/Imox
Kan completes Imix. Four is the number of dimensions in which we experience physical reality—so if there is anything destabilizing you, your mental state or any aspect of your life, use Kan’s wholesome energy to set things right again.

July 19: 5 Ik'/Iq'
Happy Valentine's Day! But no matter how passionate you might be feeling, be careful today about rushing headfirst into something you have not quite thought through. Ik’ is a cleansing, purifying force, but it can also strip you and your relationships of the protective coat of courtesy. So weigh your words with care and compassion.

July 20: 6 Akb'al/Aq'ab'al
Sometimes we want to have potential that we simply don’t. Be honest with yourself; otherwise you may end up spending a lifetime chasing an impossible dream. Remember that the path of least resistance is usually the path that was made for you.

July 21: 7 Kan/K'at
In order to plant new seeds, you’ve got to turn over the soil. This means tying up loose strings, closing out open issues, ending toxic relationships. Use Uuc’s powerful closing or “end” energies to clear your field, and Kan’s fertile essence to sow fresh new realities into your life, or that of your loved ones.

July 22: 8 Chicchan/Kan
In its purest state, your soul energy transcends the heavy, binding chains that those who thrive on fear, falsehood, control, ignorance, malice, and greed impose on those who thrive on love, truth, freedom, knowledge, compassion, and generosity. Become aware of the forces seeking to diminish your koyopa, make your peace with them—and deny them their power.

July 23: 9 Cimi/Kame
A day thoroughly infused with vibrant, life-giving feminine energies. Whether or not you're pregnant, honor the sacred potential to give life—on so many levels and in so many ways—that you embody. And if you’re not female, honor the feminine in your life, however it chooses to manifest!

July 24: 10 Manik'/Kej
Channel the authority and respect that you command within your circles. Remember the power of one only needs a few iterations to expand to a massive volume of energy. If you can open the eyes of one, you free a generation.

July 25: 11 Lamat/Q'anil
Buluk (Eleven) can cause the power of Lamat’s abundance and growth to yield results or effects that you may or may not desire—much like that of a flood: the waters can bring another year of rich harvests or wreak destruction across the land. Navigate with intention today!

July 26: 12 Muluc/Toj
As you walk Etznab’s knife edge today, accept responsibility for decisions you’ve made and for the things you have caused to manifest, acknowledge your karmic debt, and let Muluc guide you toward the kind of harmony, balance and inner peace you can only gain once you’ve learned to walk that higher middle path.

July 27: 13 Oc/Tz'i
Eastern medicine considers that the patient is just as, if not more, responsible for his or her own health. Listen to the advice of your doctors and health professionals, especially those in holistic or Eastern medicine, but do your research and make the final decision yourself.
