Melanoma is considered the most serious form of skin cancer. It often has uncontrolled growth which can spread to lymph nodes and internal organs. Melanoma is highly treatable when detected early, whereas advanced melanoma which has spread can result in death. It is estimated 8430 people will die from melanoma in the United States in 2025.
