Because of our incredible donors, our Abilene Health Hub is officially open and already making an impact! 🙌
Since Monday, we’ve been able to accept and distribute equipment and supplies right here in Abilene. In just two days, your generosity has already provided:

✅ A feeding pump
✅ AFO socks

✅ A pulse oximeter

…and it’s only Wednesday! 💙

Today, as schools across the Big Country and the surrounding areas open their doors for a new academic year, we pause to acknowledge the profound ache felt by parents whose children are not here to take that first-day photo, sling on a backpack, or walk into a classroom.

The first day of school is often filled with excitement and anticipation, but for bereaved parents, it can be a poignant reminder of what could have been. The absence of a child is felt deeply on days like today, when milestones are marked and memories are made.

In honor of the children who are forever in our hearts, we invite you to share a favorite photo of your beloved child—perhaps one from a past first day of school or a candid moment that captures their spirit. By sharing these cherished images, we celebrate their lives and the indelible impact they've had on our world.

Let us come together as a community to support one another, to remember, and to find solace in shared memories. Your child's story matters, and their memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.

🆘 Urgent – Bath Chair Needed ASAP for a Terminally Ill Child 🆘

We have a vendor quote for $349, and the chair is purchase-ready—as soon as we raise the funds. Insurance won't process it in time, so we're turning to our community for help.
If you have this type of chair and are located in Wichita Falls, DFW, Lubbock, or Abilene, we can arrange pick up.

If you can’t donate in-kind, a quick $349 in monetary donations would enable us to buy the chair today. (We already have the quote from the vendor and are ready to order immediately once the funds are in hand.)

Checking in. It’s hot. Things are okay. Needs: one time use ice packs, cooling rags, liquid Iv (must have magnesium). Keep praying. *****

Joy Project Network founder, Meagan and a fellow nurse will be heading to assist with medical care to the first responders and rescuers in the central Texas area first thing tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.

First, we’d like to ask you to continue to pray for everyone impacted by the floods all over Texas and now Ruidoso, New Mexico and add Meagan and Stacey to your prayer list as they travel and serve.

Secondly, we’d like to thank everyone that has already given or plans to give! The needs are changing hour by hour. Once Meagan arrives at ground zero tomorrow and meets with the physicians the list of needs will be more evident.

We/she will post in the comments what the needs are throughout the day and if the need has been met.

🚨 Urgent Volunteer Help Needed! 🚨

iCan Bike Camp is in full swing and we need volunteers TODAY through FRIDAY to help make dreams come true for kids with disabilities learning to ride a bike! 🚲💙

We are especially needing spotters during the following sessions:

👉 Session #1: 10:05 AM – 11:20 AM
👉 Session #2: 11:40 AM – 12:56 PM
👉 Session #3: 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM

Your support makes all the difference — no experience needed, just a willing heart and walking shoes! 👟

🌸 Mother’s Day Giveaway Winner Announcement! 🌸

This weekend, we hosted a special giveaway to honor one incredible mama raising a child with special needs. We received so many heartfelt nominations, and we want every single one of you to know—you are SEEN, you are LOVED, and you are APPRECIATED.

🎉 This announcement is a little different—because it took three spins to get to our final winner!

Our first spin landed on our very own founder and board president, Meagan Rosenquist Kirk, who humbly chose to spin again.

The second spin landed on our amazing vice president, Jamie Thomas, who also graciously passed the blessing forward.

💖 And finally, the wheel landed on our official winner: Jacque Thweatt!

Jacque will be receiving a gift card from Salt and Light Laundry Service—because every special needs mama deserves a little help lightening the load (literally 💪🧺).
