••At Integrated Behavior Solutions, it is our deep honor to continue advocating for our military families and the broader autism community. Throughout the month of April, Dr. Sims has actively engaged in advocacy efforts joining the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) in Washington, D.C., collaborating with the TxABA Public Policy Group in Austin, and participating in a news segment to elevate the voices of individuals with autism, their families, and the providers who serve them.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the parent advocates and advocacy organizations including CASP, Mission Alpha Advocacy, and RAW Consulting Services for their unwavering commitment to raising the flag on the barriers families face in accessing critical autism services such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Their voices and tireless efforts are making a real impact.
Ongoing systemic challenges continue to reduce access to care, burdening an already strained provider network with increasing financial and administrative hardship. Many providers now face the devastating choice between closing their doors or facing financial ruin. This should not be the reality.
We call upon Federal and State Congressional leaders to take immediate and decisive action on behalf of their constituents and military service members. Solutions are not just needed, they are urgently required.
This is not a fight against the system, but a unified call to action. By coming together, we can build sustainable pathways of support for children with autism, their families, and the communities they call home. ••
