What an amazing day at Heritage Nursing & Rehab! 🐴 Our residents and staff had the best time with two beautiful horses who paid us a visit today. The smiles and laughter were infectious as everyone enjoyed riding, petting, and bonding with these gentle animals. 🐎💖 It’s always such a joy to see our residents so giddy and happy, and we’re grateful for the wonderful animal visitors that brighten our days. 🐾

After experiencing a spinal cord injury that left him unable to stand or walk without complete assistance, our amazing patient was determined to regain mobility and independence. With the support of his therapy team at Del Rio Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, he is now able to walk and stand using just his walker. What an incredible accomplishment!

A huge shoutout to Cindy for the beautiful and festive 4th of July trays—absolutely stunning! And thank you to Mrs. Risley for the delicious snacks, your creative ideas, and for always helping me keep a smile on our residents’ faces.
Today was a true success thanks to our incredible CNAs who made sure everyone had a plate full of goodies, glow sticks, and bracelets. We had a packed house filled with love, laughter, family, and friends.

The Texas State Guard’s 6th Brigade recently participated in a multi-agency exercise that showcased its preparedness and versatility. As part of this exercise, they visited Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation to complete an introductory training for the Medical Personnel Augmentation Package, which provides temporary staff to local healthcare facilities to support the state’s medical infrastructure in times of need. Touchstone Communities is honored to be part of the Texas State Guard’s efforts to enhance public health!
