Thanks to Mike Milligan and Cutis Care for allowing a visit to their multiplace chamber facility in Dayton, Ohio. Also had a good burger at the Rip Rap Roadhouse.

Rob Sheffield was in Oklahoma City, putting on a private Hyperbaric Chamber Acrylics course at the multiplace chamber where he used to be the hyperbaric safety director (1994-1996). Brought back a lot of memories. Stopped at Babe's Chicken Dinner House in Sanger, Texas on the way back.
Our Hyperbaric Chamber Acrylics course will be live (in-person) in Jacksonvile, Florida on July 8th, 2023. Check it out here:

Rob Sheffield is in Rochester, NY visiting our friends at 3 different hyperbaric facilities.
Dinner at Guido's Pasta Villa in Irondequoit (the seafood special of the night).
At the Rochester airport, there is a video game museum, including a larger-than-life game of Pong. Rob played the Pac Man machine (sadly, didn't have time for Donkey Kong).
Getting ready for our Safety Director Course on Oct 24th.

Congratulations, Francois Burman! No one deserves this recognition more. 🎉

Congratulations, Francois Burman! No one deserves this recognition more. 🎉

Congratulations to DAN’s Director of Risk Mitigation, Francois Burman, Pr. Eng, MSc, for receiving this year’s UHMS Paul Sheffield Award and SAUHMA Campbell MacFarlane Trophy. Francois has dedicated his career to developing risk mitigation and safety protocols for dive centers and teaching hyperbaric chamber operators how to improve safety at their facilities. His passion for safety and commitment to divers set him apart, and we are very proud to see him honored in this way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Paul Sheffield Award is presented to an individual who has greatly contributed to and influenced the understanding of undersea and hyperbaric medicine, and the Campbell MacFarlane trophy is awarded to an individual who has made significant contributions to hyperbaric oxygen therapy in South Africa.

Rob Sheffield visited some clients/friends in Rochester, Minnesota last week. His first consulting trip since things started shutting down in March 2020.
Had some really good BBQ at Smoak in Rochester. The picture does not do it justice. Peppery dry rub (Texas style) - lots of smoke flavor - rib meat falling off the bone - juicy and tender brisket. Fudge brownie sundae for dessert.

Honoring the southern tradition of blackeyed peas on New Year's Day, which is supposed to bring good luck. I didn't have them a year ago, and see what happened?
Looking forward to our first hyperbaric course of the year on Jan 4th, followed by our first safety course of the year on Jan 11th. Doing all our courses over zoom for now.
