San Antonio Eye Center is thrilled to introduce Dr. Sophia Brown!

Dr. Brown is a Texas optometric glaucoma specialist committed to providing personalized comprehensive eye care to the residents of San Antonio. She graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Biology and Mathematics. Dr. Brown then attended Kentucky College of Optometry in rural Kentucky, settled in the Appalachian Mountains, where she had the opportunity to volunteer with Remote Area Medical trips serving locations that did not have access to healthcare otherwise.

In her spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys trying out local restaurants, bass fishing, traveling, and spending time with her dog.

San Antonio Eye Center is thrilled to welcome Dr. Claudia Cala!

Born and raised in Bogota, Dr. Cala served as an ophthalmologist in her native Colombia, dedicating herself to improving the eye health of her community. After this experience she moved to the United States where she completed a 3-year residency in family medicine at UT Health San Antonio.

She currently sees routine clinical patients and screens them for ocular diseases and vision-related health issues.
