Dr. Gerardo Zavala kicked off celebrating NSC’s 15th anniversary with a donation to the invaluable ThriveWell Cancer Foundation KABB FOX 29 News, San Antonio and Yami Virgin. Our celebration continued with a pinning ceremony for the NSC Family where 11 dedicated individuals recieved a 15 year pin. The day closed out with a ribbon cutting ceremony lead by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Zavala was surrounded by friends and longtime supporters that have made his dream of making a positive impact on those suffering with debilitating back pain by building a spine care clinic that prioritizes comprehensive and coordinated care. Cheers to Dr. Zavala for 15 years of dedication to the San Antonio community and all of Texas!

This thankful Thursday we not only thank the patients that put their trust in us, but also the amazing doctors that change lives daily here at Neurosurgery & Spine Consultants. This card is from one of our patients from the Rio Grande valley. She traveled to us after a painful spine fracture. The specialists in her area told her she wouldn’t be able to get the procedure she needed for 6 weeks. Dr. Zavala was able to do her consult and procedure on the same day and this patient went from using a wheelchair and pain level 10 to waking without any pain.
