25 years ago today, you agreed to go on our first date. I don’t think either of us would have anticipated that we would still be together when we took that first date. We have been together for the majority of our lives and I could not imaging my life without you. You have supported me through our times at Austin High Loyal Forever, The University of Texas at Austin and my time at UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. You pursued your masters degree and raising our 2 amazing children while I completeled medical school and orthopedic residency. Now you continue to be my anchor in private practice at Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio - SMASA while you represent our family with your countless community philanthropic endeavors. I look forward to what the next year, and the countless more, will bring. I love you more than you could know Stephanie Werlinger Girling. And just to set the record straight. I said “I love you” first. 😘
