In celebration of Thanksgiving this week, remember YOURSELF.

Remember THOUGHTS create reality. Thoughts and beliefs directly shape your experiences and physical health. Focus on the here and now of Self-Love and acceptance. Say out loud, "All is well, everything is working out for my highest good. And out of this situation only good will come and I'm safe." (Louise Hayes)

All too often, there is only one cook in the kitchen taking on the burden of preparing the entire meal. ASK FOR HELP! Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all that we are thankful for. Bringing the family together in the preparation of the meal that all will share brings connection and strengthens the bonds of family.

Keep Self-Care in mind by anticipating social interactions.
Hugs & Kisses can = Sniffles & Sneezes.
Practice good hygiene by washing your hands often.
Eat a healthy diet and stay hydrated (especially when heaters are running.)
Get enough rest.
Don't share personal items.

Most importantly YOU are the critical partner here. Focus on yourself! Self-care is critical and not considered a luxury. All too often women are the nurturers and worry about everyone else except themselves. How do you ever have any energy left after helping everyone else?

Start now and budget a "healing session" at least once a month. If you have an hour or more, schedule a full 60 min. massage or reflexology session. OPERATION SELF-CARE
Beginning this Monday, we will introduce you to "Mindful Mondays.”

So what does "mindful" mean? Jon Kabat-Zinn,founder of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program identifies mindfulness as paying attention in a particular way - on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally.
FOCUS - on what's happening right now instead of dwelling in the past or worrying about the future.
ACCEPTANCE - Observe your experiences without judgment of good or bad and without over-reacting or getting carried away.
INTENTION - Utilize conscious, deliberate choice to cultivate the awareness.
