A 6-Week Experiential Training Series
Staying Present Under Pressure is a six-week experiential training designed to build your capacity to remain present, steady, and intentional when discomfort, stress, or internal pressure arises.
This is not a yoga class and not a therapeutic group.
It is skills training, grounded in Acceptance & Commitment principles (ACT) and practiced through direct experience rather than discussion or theory.
Each session follows the same training backbone:
Challenge → Choice → Change
Notice → Name → Choose
Participants are guided through structured experiences that intentionally bring up mild physical and mental discomfort in a controlled, supportive environment. The goal is not to eliminate discomfort, but to change how we relate to it.
Rather than trying to calm the nervous system or “release” sensation, this work trains:
• Staying present with sensation without immediately fixing, bracing, or escaping
• Creating space between thoughts and actions
• Recognizing automatic stress responses without being driven by them
• Making deliberate, values-aligned choices under pressure
ACT is not taught as a theory.
It is practiced inside the body, under mild stress, repeatedly, so new patterns can be learned and rehearsed.
Over six sessions, participants progressively develop:
• Greater tolerance for internal experience
• Reduced reactivity to thoughts and sensations
• Increased clarity and choice under stress
• The ability to follow through even when conditions are uncomfortable or imperfect
This series is well-suited for:
• Individuals who feel reactive, overwhelmed, or stuck in stress patterns
• Couples who want to understand how pressure affects their responses and interactions
• Anyone interested in building resilience, psychological flexibility, and self-trust through practice rather than insight alone
No prior yoga, mindfulness, or psychological training is required.
All bodies and experience levels are welcome.
Participants may attend individually or with a partner.
