Some of the ways you show up today didn’t start with you - they started with what you had to learn to feel safe. Over-explaining yourself, struggling to say no, fearing you’re “too much” or “not enough”… these can all come from earlier experiences. Not because something is wrong with you, but because you adapted. The good news is, what was learned can also be unlearned.

A gentle reminder to separate your online life from your real worth. Likes, comments, and views don’t define who you are. Take a moment offline today and reconnect with yourself - you are enough, with or without anyone watching 🤍

One of the most common mistakes people make when setting boundaries is waiting until they’re already overwhelmed or angry! By that point, it can come out as frustration or an emotional reaction - rather than a clear, calm boundary.

Often, we tolerate behaviours for weeks, months, or even years… until it builds up. Boundaries tend to work best when they’re set early, communicated clearly, and not in the middle of an emotional moment.

When we ask how you’re doing, we’re not looking for the quick “I’m fine” answer. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to filter, minimize, or rush what you’re feeling. You can take your time, go deeper, and say the things you don’t usually say out loud. Whenever you’re ready - we’re here to listen.

It’s Alcohol Awareness Month. It’s important to understand how alcohol can affect your mental health - especially if you’re already struggling. People drink for many reasons, from celebrating to unwinding or feeling more confident. While it may feel helpful in the moment, those effects are often short-lived. If you’re finding alcohol is becoming a way to cope, or you’d like support in making changes, our team is here to help.

Sometimes the most impactful things we learn in therapy aren’t complicated - they’re the small shifts in how we think, respond, and treat ourselves. Learning that not every thought is true, that rest is necessary, and that boundaries are healthy can completely change how you move through life. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, but with awareness and consistency, it does happen.

Understanding your attachment style is an important step towards building healthier, more fulfilling relationships. If you have an avoidant attachment style, you may find yourself pulling away when things start to feel close. This doesn’t mean you don’t care - it’s often a learned way of protecting yourself. The good news is that these patterns can shift over time. With the right support, it’s possible to feel safer with emotional closeness and connection.
