PSA 🔊 🔈 POST OP CARE
For years I've spent lots of time responding to questions, educating and stressing the importance of proper after care.
But honestly it gets exhausting when folks insist on taking short cuts, or some surgeons not understanding our scope/expertise, calling our work gimmick.
(I have plenty of comparison pics of surgery only vs with post op care - a very significant difference).
Everything online for purchase thats listed as lymphatic or post op is not safe but it is trending as a key word. They sell you on the word hype. Everything that glitter is not gold. Every person claiming they are doing lymphatic work, is not even lymphatic (i.e incisional drainage, or generic body rubbing)
You MUST understand the entire journey of surgery. You MUST know and understand the BODY (anatomy & physiology, response to healing and trauma and recovery). You MUST understand the lymphatic system.
You MUST know and understand the machines and tools... how they work, what they target, what are the benefits and risks and WHEN it is appropriate to use.
After 20 years of experience, lately, I've found myself commenting on posts then deleting before sending or learning to just scroll on by.
This (surgery) is a big deal. A big investment. It's not for the weak or the broke.
Some people do fine with no or minimal aftercare, but many do not.
Please stop trying to take short cuts that you don't understand. Post surgery is not the time to be experimental on yourself.
If you are going to make the investment, please also be willing to protect it. Would you buy a new car or home without insurance? Don't get a transformed body and play Russian roulette.
I wish the best for everyone! I desire best and safe outcomes for everyone!
